We want you to feel confident subscribing to MemoryFox. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund. It supplements — and does not override — your rights under the Republic of Korea's consumer protection laws, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률, the “E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act”).
1. Free Plan
The Free plan involves no payment and is therefore not eligible for a refund. You can use it indefinitely within the limit of 10 caches per calendar month.
2. Monthly Subscription ($14.99 USD / month)
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for a one-month service period. Because the period is short, monthly fees are generally non-refundable, but:
- 14-day first-time guarantee: If you are subscribing to a paid plan for the very first time and contact us within 14 days of your initial charge, we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.
- Service failure: If the Service is materially unavailable or defective for a sustained period during your billing month, you may request a pro-rated refund.
- Accidental renewal: If you cancel and are then auto-renewed in error within 7 days, contact us and we will refund the renewal charge.
When you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate cancellations within an in-progress month.
3. Annual Subscription ($99.99 USD / year)
Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for a twelve-month service period.
- 14-day full refund: Cancel within 14 days of the initial charge or annual renewal for a full refund.
- Pro-rated refund (15–60 days): Between days 15 and 60 of an annual term, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused portion, less any monthly-equivalent value of the time already used.
- After 60 days: The remainder of the annual term is non-refundable, except where required by Korean consumer protection law or for a sustained service failure.
4. How to Request a Refund
Email contact@lyramirae.com from the address associated with your MemoryFox account. Please include:
- Your account email;
- The approximate date and amount of the charge;
- The reason for the refund request.
We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Chargebacks
We prefer to resolve billing concerns directly. If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend or close your account pending resolution. Please reach out — almost every situation can be sorted quickly via email.
6. Korean Consumer Protection Law
Under the E-Commerce Consumer Protection Act, consumers in the Republic of Korea generally have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital content within seven (7) days of the purchase date, subject to the statutory exceptions — for example, where the digital content has already been consumed or where withdrawal would cause significant difficulty for the seller. Where these statutory rights apply, they prevail over anything more restrictive in this policy.
You may also have additional rights under the Framework Act on Consumers (소비자기본법) and other mandatory consumer protection laws. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits those rights. If a refund is required by law, we will issue it regardless of any limitation set out above.
7. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above shows when the current version took effect. The policy in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
